Sometimes when we are facing a matter of life and death situation, all we can do is to have faith - faith to God and faith to strangers’ kindness.

And right now, this faith is my only hope for the recovery of Rumicah Mae Valdez.

My family is seeking for your prayers and financial assistance for my 7 years old daughter, Rumicah Mae Valdez, who is struck by a rare cancer known as “Acute Myelegenous Leukemia (AML)”. Rumicah, a child full of life and joy, has gone through series of chemotheraphy. Unfortunately, her fragile young body can no longer take this treatment further.

The doctors had advised us to opt for bone marrow or stem cell transplant which will cost 2 million Philippine pesos. Indeed it is a substantial amount but I am optimistic. As a father, I can’t bear the thought of giving up. I hang on to my faith - faith to God and faith to strangers’ generosity.

My family is working hard to raise this money in order for Rumicah to proceed with the bone marrow or stem cell transplant. Hence, kindly support us through the “One Peso for Rumicah’s Recovery” campaign. All it takes is only a donation of one peso from you. Your one peso can make a difference to Rumicah’s life.
